Product Overview
The
LTF-275 is a fine-bubble tube diffuser designed for aeration applications in
wastewater treatment basins, activated sludge systems, aquaculture aeration
tanks and other submerged aeration systems. It is a part of the LONGTECH LTF
series of tube diffusers, which include larger models (for example LTF-550) but
the LTF-275 is the smaller/compact model in the series
In
essence, the product consists of an elongated cylindrical body with a
fine‐bubble membrane (typically made of EPDM rubber) mounted over a support
body (often ABS resin or compound reinforced plastic) with a threaded
connection (female PT-¾″ or PT-1″) that allows it to be mounted on an air
manifold and supply compressed air. It is engineered to produce a high density
of very small bubbles (fine bubbles) into water, thereby enabling high oxygen
transfer efficiency (OTE) while maintaining relatively low pressure loss and
good resistance against fouling and clogging.

Features & Performance Benefits
High
Oxygen Transfer Efficiency (OTE)
Because the diffuser produces many fine bubbles and has
a large effective surface area (via the membrane perforations), it achievesgood oxygen transfer into the water. According to the manufacturer, the
fine-bubble tube diffuser (LTF series) has “high oxygen transfer efficiency”. Fine
bubble diffusers in general have the advantage of small bubble size (often 1–3
mm or smaller) which increases bubble residence time, contact area and thus
mass-transfer of oxygen.
Low
Pressure Loss & Energy Efficiency
The design emphasises low head loss: the membrane and diffuser configuration
allow air to be distributed without very high back-pressure. A lower pressure
drop means lower blower/air-supply energy costs for a given aeration duty.

Versatility
The product is suitable for a range of applications: municipal wastewater
treatment plants, industrial effluent biological treatment, aquaculture
aeration systems, activated sludge basins, sequencing batch reactors (SBRs),
and other submerged aeration basins.

Summary
TheLONGTECH LTF-275 fine bubble tube diffuser is a high-efficiency, lightweight, compact aeration device specifically designed for fine bubble aeration
applications in water and wastewater treatment, aquaculture and other submerged
aeration systems. With its high oxygen transfer efficiency, low pressure loss,
durable EPDM membrane and straightforward installation, it is an excellent
choice when space is limited or retrofits are required.
Its
compact size (approx 274 mm length, ~400 g weight) allows flexibility in
installation; the specified airflow range (~30–150 L/min) and threaded
connection make manifold design simpler. The manufacturer emphasis on features
like “wide space between filters, no blockage” and “high plankton containment”
show that long‐term reliability in process conditions was considered.
In
practical use one should ensure proper air supply, manifold design, even
spacing, adequate tank depth, and plan for maintenance. When used and
maintained appropriately, the LTF-275 can contribute to more efficient
aeration, lower energy consumption and improved oxygenation in biological
treatment processes.
